littlelilydraws asked: Hello, I'm a first year animation major (at my local community college) and I really admire your work! I was wondering, with your experience, what are some things that makes someone more successful in the field?
Thanks a million! A lot of people say that you need to have 2 out of 3 of these qualities - you have to be fast at what you do, super talented, or charismatic.
But I think the best thing you can be is kind. Animation is a pretty tiny field (you never know who you’re going to end up working with and being decent is just a generally good thing to be).
Our students have a yearly tradition called “48 Hour Films” each November, where they gather together and make a short individual film on a specific theme over a weekend. BFA4 student Charley Hodgkins put them together on his YouTube page - enjoy!!
Some fine, 48-hour quality duck animations.
Anonymous asked: The fact you have the luxury to sit behind a computer and talj about being opressed really says something.
Woahh man. Feel free to message me privately off of anon anytime and we can talk about filial piety and western orientalism to our hearts content.
Anonymous asked: yo, just wanted to say i appreciate the comments on colorblindness you made on thisisnotkorea/thisisnotjapan!!!!! i think youre awesome and your work is amazing!
No prob! Too gross how often those sort of comments get taken at face-value.
